The Games We Play is a weekly feature about what has been going on in our gaming lives. Tell us what you've been playing in the comments.
Terry: I've been so busy with reviews the past week (Sam&Max, Point Lookout) that I haven't had much time to play games for myself. When I have managed to squeeze in some "me" game time, I've been playing Red Faction Guerilla. Its a solid game. It plays a lot like the love child of the movie Total Recall and the game Mercenaries, two things I really like.
On consoles, I dug a little more into inFamous but we've been beating that one to death the last couple of weeks. The Bigs 2 demo was really fun but felt extremely similar to the first. While not a bad thing, I thought the developers would have taken more chances considering they had two years to think about it.
Sean: With the U.S. Open ending early in the week (Phil! So close, again!), I was given plenty of motivation to continue to play Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2010, because there are an unbelievable amount of hidden gems in the game. But in order to be fresh to this week, I must make reference to Rocket Riot. It's completely worth your time for the 360. I am not just saying that because I reviewed it either -- trust me. For a guy who normally is quite nitpicky about downloadable games, this one rocks and is worth your 800 MS points.
One of the most fun, time-consuming things you can do to pass the time is download (for free) and play 1 vs. 100 (or 1 vs. 26,569 if you want to get technical). With the chance to party up and play directly next to and against your friends, this one is a steal for free, even as a Beta version. Know random trivia? Hop on here and test your knowledge against tens of thousands of other Xbox Livers -- they're waiting to prove you wrong. So much fun going against the Mob.
