Right now, my PSP is the second favorite gaming console I own. With new PS1 classics coming out in waves (I already bought Rainbow Six and Resident Evil, with Metal Gear Solid coming out this Thursday, yeah!) and other solid PSP titles already out, I can't get enough time with my little handheld device.

When I saw the PSP Go at the Sony E3 press conference two weeks ago, my first  thought was "what the heck do I do with my old PSP?" My answer? Absolutely nothing. I don't know exactly what new applications the Go is going to have but after investing money in a number of UMD games and not knowing whether I can use them on Sony's new handheld or not, I don't really see the need to upgrade.

But what about you? Tell us whether the PSP GO is on your radar. If you already own a PSP, will you buy the Go? If you don't own a PSP, will this sleeker new UMD-less model get you into the handheld market? Or will the $250 price point scare you off? Let your voice be heard and vote below, and let us know why or why not the PSP Go is for you in the comments section of this post.

Maybe

I don't plan to buy a PSP anytime soon since I have always stayed true to real stationary consoles instead of hand helds. However, if something possesses me to buy such an amazing machine such as the PSP, then I would gladly buy the newer and better version due to all of its brand new features. This is why I might buy a PSP Go. I also appreciate Sony's dedication to the PSP so that their hand held can thrive and increase in sales with new applications and features.

Since I'm a sucker for tech... yeah, I'll get it, even though I disagree with several of its elements.

On the main GamePro site there was a post today about some of the PSP Go's features, including UMD transfers, but there just doesn't seem like enough of a difference between the 3000 and Go for me to get one.

For gamers who don't have one? I can certainly see its allure.

I will be getting one, the price on this unit is the same price as the original PSP price tag a few years ago, so what is the difference you may ask now? I don't know, I was upset to see that a second joystick wasn't added for certain games but I guess we will be seeing that in a near future with PSP GO 2 I guess we will have to wait on that one.
