Trash Panic certainly cannot be faulted for its uniqueness. We have seen so many games fail to stand out but Trash Panic has no problems in that regard. The objective is simple: squish as many objects into a trash can without any falling out.

Echos of Tetris are apparent, as the player tries to fit each piece perfectly onto one another. However, a realistic physics engine comes into play based on the weight and flexibility of the item. The variety of "garbage" is commendable, with everything from toilet paper to hamburgers falling from above. You have the option to slam objects to try to get them to break and take up less space in the garbage bin.

Depending on how you decide to play, the game gives you a "eco" or "ego" rating. This aspect doesn't fit too well in Trash Panic because the level of difficulty is such that you will likely be doing anything possible to complete each stage.

Presentation is very strange in Trash Panic. There is no tutorial level or an easy way to change difficulty. The game pretty much throws you in without knowning what to do. Also, it is not obvious when you are about to clear the stage.

The sound becomes annoying because the same track plays on loop. Trash Panic's graphics are impressive for a pretty simple downloadable game. Maybe that's why the game is more than 1GB!

There are two main modes and offline 2 player multiplayer. There is no online play whatsoever.

Trash Panic has another thing going for it: the price. It is rare to see $5 original IP anymore. While it may not be a great game, for $5, it's worth a try.

Pros: Price is right, Easy to jump in and play

Cons: Too difficult, not a lot of gameplay modes

Sound: 2.0

Control: 3.75

Graphics: 4.0

Fun Factor: 3.75

The Info: Platform: PSN, Publisher: Sony Computer Entertainment , Developer: SCE Studios Japan, ESRB: E, Players: 1-2, Price: $4.99

Nice quick review, keep them up! I didn't really expect this game to get anything said about it better than what you said because it's a trash piling game for Pete's sake! I didn't plan to purchase it either, but this serves a useful review to me nonetheless. Good job.

I dont know I enjoyed it when I demo'ed it. $5 is easier for me to spend then if I had to spend $10 and lack a lot of content *Cough Nintendo cough*.
