The Games We Play is a weekly feature about what has been going on in our gaming lives. Leave us your games journal in the comments.

Terry: Since I'm leaving for England tonight (catching the last regular season Liverpool FC match, hitting Edinburgh and London) and won't be back until right before E3, I'm trying to get in as much game time as possible. This week I've played Wolverine (repetitive but okay), Star Trek DAC (an even more boring version of Wing Commander but with easy Achievements), FIFA 09 (love it), and a game I haven't played in awhile, Crackdown. When it first came out I was addicted to Crackdown and I still go back to it from time to time. Excellent game.

On the news front I saw this Kotaku post that got me very excited. I guess my nagging to AIAS President Joseph Olin paid off.

Ian: Another busy week means not too much time for gaming, besides what I played for the review of Texas Cheat 'Em. Booted up Sonic Unleashed, which I got last year, but never got around to playing it. Now I see why it was panned by so many reviewers. The boss I was playing was way too hard and after trying to beat him multiple times, I decided to sell the game. I don't think it's much of a loss for me.

I also went back to a couple of XBLA games that you are probably tired of hearing about: NHL Arcade and Outrun Online. On the iPod Touch, I played Bloons, originally a PC flash game. Fifty levels are included for only 99 cents. It is a little difficult, but worth the cheap asking price.

Sean: It's an annoyance that refuses to go away. Within your 360 and PS3, there's a little connection that refuses to stay completely in tact for your entire online experience. And sometimes, it'll result in oddly getting killed, dropping a fly ball or losing a match all together. What do you do? Well, if you're like me, you cuss uncontrollably and slam your controller down to the floor. The reason I bring this up is because this week was especially rough for me.

In just four days, I managed to miss out on an 18,500-point round in Annex on GoW2 and a game that would put me up in my division on MLB 2009 (twice). After the host quit in Gears, I cried. But after the dropped fly balls because of a laggy connection on my opponent's part, I lost it. I've been playing more and more sports games, but the same result seems to stay consistent through them all. When will it end?

Andrew: This week I had a ton on my plate. I got to play Bionic Commando, Terminator Salvation and Punch Out! This has definitely been one hell of a week for me. Bionic Commando is decent. I like the swing mechanic, once I got use to it, and the visuals are very nice. Terminator Salvation was only 3 hours long with the worst AI and game play I have seen in a long time. The only saving grace from this was that I obtained 1000gs points easy.

After that horrific experience I moved on to Punch Out! I loved Punch Out! on the NES and I still think it’s one of the top 5 must play games. I loved the new design with the art style and the fact that they kept everything similar to the original is a good thing, especially the classic controls. If you have a Wii, this is a must have title!

Lavron415: This week has been a good and relaxing one for me. Not a lot of time for annoying things to do and a lot of time for videogames. I got Killzone 2 about a week ago and that's all that I've been playing ever since. I finished the campaign earlier this week and it turned out to be, by far, the greatest campaign and story-line that I have ever experienced. Now I have been focusing on snagging a few campaign trophies here and there and I've been playing online non-stop. Through playing a lot of Killzone 2 online mayhem, I've grown bored of the given maps however, and now I have grown dependant on trying to find a way to get the new DLC map pack without going into debt. I've also played a few missions of Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction on my Playstation 2. I got that game ever since launch and I go back to play it every half year or so; the possibilities are just endless in that game.

Lavron415 I hate to add to your debt but another set of Maps will be hitting the scene soon! So get ready to kill some more scumm on some sweet new maps!

I hope you also picked up Rag Doll Kung-Fu for free when it was offered last week or so, since a free $10 games is right up anyone's alley.

Yeah, if I will get any of the map packs, I'll try to get the new one. Everyone says that the second map pack will be much better than the 'Steel and Titanium' DLC pack. I really want the maps from the 'Steel and Titanium' pack though, but I've heard that it's a total rip-off and it is not worth it. Maybe someone could spare a DLC code for me? Oh, and I did snag ragdoll kong-fu for free, but I haven't even launched it yet because I had already gotten Killzone 2 by then and I am obssessed with playing Killzone 2!

Well if Sony sticks to the normal formula, they will have a double pack for about $8-9. They did it for resistance and some other titles so we will see what happens.
