How much would you be willing to pay for a game you desperately want? I asked myself this question while recently perusing the PlayStation Store game library. What I really wanted was a downloadable version of Metal Gear Solid that I could upload to my PSP. Instead I had to settle for Syphon Filter 3 and Crash Bandicoot 2.
While getting frustrated with Sony for not being able to find something that should be an online store no-brainer says something about PSN's meager offerings, the answer to my own question says more about how much I really, really want MGS. I decided I'd easily pay $100 if I could get Solid Snake onto my PSP right now. That's right, $100 for a downloadable game. That's how much I want it.
This got me thinking, "How much would other gamers pay for a game they desperately want, but can't get?" Maybe you're in a situation like mine where you want something that doesn't exist yet, or perhaps you're looking for a rare game.
