Five new games are available for download this week. Starting today, DSi gamers can pick up "Dr. Mario Express" (500pts) and "Master of Illusion Express: Deep Psyche" (200pts) while Wii gamers can pick up "Crystal Defenders R1" (800pts) and "Wonder Boy III: Monster Lair" (900pts). 

On Wednesday Xbox 360 gamers can pick up the last Days of Arcade title, an updated version of the arcade classic "Lode Runner", for 1200MS points ($15). This week PS3 gamers will get nothing and like it.

CRYSTAL DEFENDERS R1 (SQUARE ENIX, 1 player, Rated E for Everyone – Mild Fantasy Violence, 800 Wii Points): In CRYSTAL DEFENDERS R1, you must deploy various units such as Soldiers and Black Mages to stop wave after wave of encroaching monsters from escaping the area with your party’s crystals. There are many different types of units to choose from, some specializing in powerful short-range attacks, some wielding far-reaching magicks, and still others equipped with bows that enable them to bring down aerial foes. Deploy units in strategic locations to take full advantage of their traits. Each time an enemy breaches your defenses and reaches a map’s exit, your party will lose crystals. Nintendo adds new titles to the Nintendo DSi Shop and the Wii Shop Channel at 9 a.m. Pacific time on Mondays. Users with broadband Internet access can redeem Wii Points or Nintendo DSi Points to download the games. Wii Points can be purchased in the Wii Shop ChannelNintendo DSi Points can be purchased in the Nintendo DSi Shop. A Nintendo Points Card can be purchased at retail locations. All points from one Nintendo Points Card must be redeemed in either the Nintendo DSi Shop or the Wii Shop Channel. They are not transferable and cannot be divided between the two systems.

I love the cover for Lode Runner. He looks to be shooting at no one and swinging losing his loot. I wish 80's VG art came back into today's games. That would be sweet to see again.
