Let’s face it, quality DLC is becoming a standard for games. It’s hard not to see a game out more than a year without some new map pack or item that is supposed to enhance your experience or increase the games longevity. Well, we here at GamePro Arcade were wondering, what would be the top DLC we would like to see come to this generation? We racked our brains and have come up with the following list that we feel is suitable for everyone. Of course you can add your own input in the comments section for something you feel should have been added.
XBOX 360
- Half Life 2: Episode 3 - We all know its coming, we just don't know when or how it will be dispersed. Will we just get the episode or will it have some goodies tacked onto it to entice our fancies? However we get the episode it’s safe to assume it will be worth the wait. On top of Episode 3 a Half Life 2 multiplayer DM mode can be added to extend the life of the HL universe, or possibly something to get players back into Team Fortress 2 in some fashion.
- GTA IV: Apocalypse – We all love GTA IV. But how would you feel about Liberty City of the Dead? An expansion that features a character in a zombie apocalypse in which you must traverse through the city in search of refuge. Along the way you meet up with other survivors and work your way through the city via foot or the occasional car. Think of this as a 28 Days Later style of play with tons of action and scares.
Wii
- More N64 titles for the Virtual Console - There are a ton of N64 games that hold a special place in gamers’ hearts. Why can’t we see these titles on the Virtual Console? The list is vast and includes titles like, Golden Eye 007, Conker's Bad Fur Day, Perfect Dark, Donkey Kong 64, Harvest Moon 64 and Blast Corps. These are only a few of the titles worthy of gracing the Wii.
PS3
- MGS4 Epilogue - Having more of the MGS universe would be great and should be easy. Konami could go back before MGS4 took place or have you play new missions that occurred during the events as a new or existing character *cough* Raiden *cough*
- Uncharted: In the mean time – Uncharted is one of the best exclusive titles that the PS3 has to offer. With the sequel coming out soon, an expansion that leads up to the events of the next game would be a huge plus for the series. Getting to play as Drake again for a few hours would get gamers in the mood to continue his journey in the near future.
