Tidal is a stylish abstract shooter in which you select from one of three ships to blast back a never-ending siege of deadly geometric enemies.
A wave sits at the top of the screen and moves to a different shape each time new ships come down, almost like a tidal wave - hence the name of the game. But if you let the geometric shapes touch the wave line, you will have to deal with a harder difficulty as well as possible projectiles. Don’t fret, on the fifth wave of enemies, a circle will appear with whatever shapes drop down, these are bombs you can use to help rid the section of enemies away as well as boost up your combo.
Tidal is easy to play, just move with your mouse and right click to shoot. Everyone can pick this up and be shooting geometric shapes in no time. While fighting the shapes watch out. They won’t just move left and right or up and down. They will also disappear and reappear, come up from the bottom or have extra projectiles attached to them. This adds to the difficulty of the game but also makes it fun and keeps it fresh.
Tidal will remind most gamers of a Galaga, with some new twists. Having hundreds of levels, constantly changing wave line and enemy types, makes Tidal something unique and special and will have you coming back plenty of times to best your score.
