As a lover of video games its easy to see how gaming is greatest thing in the world. Gaming makes people smarter, funnier, more athletic, taller and better looking. However, some still need convincing. Music, movies, television and other forms of entertainment are great but sometimes people don't realize how much fun gaming can be. In order to educate the masses, GPArcade is starting a new series, the Top 5 Ways Gaming is Better Than... This week? Going to the Movies.
1. Refunds - If you don't like a game you can either take it back or at least get store credit for something better. If you don't like a movie don't bother whining to the manager, you're screwed. It's too bad you can't get time refunds either. There are plenty of movies (Wild Wild West, Catwoman, Spider-Man 3) that I wish would give me 2 hours of my life back.

2. Better Actors - Somehow Brendan Fraser, Rob Schneider, Freddie Prinze, Jr. and David Hasselhoff still have acting careers. Just based on their voice talents alone David "Solid Snake" Hayter and Charles "Mario" Martinet are better actors. Are you telling me Hayter couldn't do a better Michael Knight than the Hoff? And you know Charles Martinet would've killed in Deuce Bigalow.

3. No Lines - The only time you'll see a line when buying a video game is at the midnight release of a big title. And with downloadable games, you don't even have to move from the ass grove of your couch. If you want to go to the movies you have to get in your car ($4/gallon of gas), park 50 yards from the theater (at least on a weekend), wait in line to buy tickets, and wait in line to get popcorn. If you take a family of four to a movie, you're paying more for a 2 hour flick than you would for a 10-50 hour game.

4. Interactivity - Talking is discouraged while watching a movie. Trash talking is encouraged while playing video games with friends. In a game you make the decisions on what your character does and the order in which they do it, you control the action. In a movie you're nothing more than a voyeur. Perv.

5. Cheaper Snacks - Cost of popcorn, candy and a Coke at the theater - $12. Cost of popcorn, candy and a Coke at home - $2. Cost of pounding your brother in Halo 3 - priceless.
